Pastor Stephen was raised in Tennessee and lived there until he graduated from high school.  At that time, he entered college, served in the U.S. Army Reserve for two years, and then honorably served six years on active duty.  While attending Liberty University, he earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a concentration in Christian Counseling, a Master of Arts in Human Services, and a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy.  He is currently completing a Master of Arts in Christian Education with Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.  He is currently licensed as a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor in the state of Georgia, and he is completing a Level II certification with the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors (ACBC). 
Pastor Stephen married Yesi in 2006, and they now have a son, Joseph, and a daughter, Rebecca. 
In January 2010, Stephen began serving as Associate Pastor of Member Care in a bilingual church in the Republic of Panama.  Upon joining Oakland Baptist Church in June 2015, Stephen and Yesi began serving in a number of ministries, and in August 2016, Stephen officially began to serve as Associate Pastor of Oakland Baptist Church. 
Pastor Stephen enjoys studying and teaching God’s Word, traveling with his family, SCUBA diving, and watching SEC football with a UT slant.
