Music Ministry at Oakland
The Music Ministry at Oakland follows God’s Word for guidance, centering on Colossians 3:16, “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.” Our focus is to give everyone in our congregation an opportunity to worship God, regardless of their background. We try to achieve this by having a good mix of music from traditional hymns and southern gospel songs to choruses and light contemporary worship songs. Our prayer is that the music in our worship services is always seen as Christ-centered, helping to lead worshipers to a stronger relationship with our Lord and Savior.
