   The Deacons are encouraged by the growth God has given and the work that has been accomplished this past year.  We want to thank everyone who worked so hard this past year.  We look forward to what God will do through all of us in 2012 as we love and care for others.

     We have been studying Johnny Hunt’s series on “The Deacon I Want to Be”  We want to be better equipped to serve the families of Oakland.  We know that being a Deacon is being a servant to the Lord and His church.  It is such a blessing to serve and minister to shut-ins and those in the hospital.  Our desire as deacons is to serve you better in 2012.
