2021... 2022
by Pastor Mike Winfree on December 29, 2021Dear Church,
I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas. Jane and I enjoyed going back home to see family. But, it is always good to get back to our own home and church family.
I want to thank each person who worked so hard on the Live Nativity set, and every person who was a part of the production. Everything went well. A special thanks to Mary and James who has such a heart for this.
As I look back over 2021, God has been so good to us. We accomplished a lot. I will share more on Sunday, January 9. Make plans to be here.
I want to challenge each of you to read through the Bible in 2022. There is not anything that will build your faith more than the Word of God. There are 1,189 chapters in the Bible. You can read 5 chapters a day and skip the weekend and still read it through in a year. If you read it everyday, it’s a little over 3 chapters a day. Once you do it, you won’t want to stop. Read it with 2 questions, What did it say? And How can I apply it to my life? In 2022, let’s be a church that honors God by being faithful to the things that please Him.
We are calling our Sunday School classes, Community Groups now. Are you a part of one those groups? Small groups are important. It is where friendships are made, and where you find those who will pray with you and for you, and where bonding takes place. I am thankful for all of our teachers who love God and prepare each week to teach God’s Word. Maybe you haven’t been coming to groups for whatever reason but 2022 is a good time to start back. I’m praying God would grow our Community Groups this next year.
Serving the Savior,
Pastor Mike
