From the Pastor's Desk

Dear Church,
 

Can you believe it, another half-a-year gone again. Some say time flies, I believe it’s been soaring. In the midst of it all God has been working. We had a great Vacation Bible School. Thanks to all those who worked to make it a success. We had one family come this past Sunday as a result. They came as a result of our canvassing we did months ago. We plant the seed and water and God gives the harvest.
 

I’ve talked to two people who have been coming who told me they had been coming by the church and something was just drawing them here. What they didn’t know is that we have been praying that way on Tuesday Nights at War Room.
 

I received a call Monday asking how much we owed on our Building Fund. I told them and someone they know, who doesn’t attend at Oakland, wanted to make a donation.
 

God has His ways of doing things. He owns the cattle on a thousand hills and He owns the hills too. If we will be faithful to Him, He certainly will be faithful to us.
 

I want to thank every person who gave for the roof and gutter project. That project is almost complete. We are waiting for the steeple to be put back on. Thanks to all who helped clean the steeple and thanks to Johnny Woolfolk who helped me paint it.
 

Many have their ONE they are praying for, some have had their ONE come already. Keep praying and keep asking people to come as your guest. Let’s keep believing God and serving Him until He comes.
