Pause To Reflect

by Pastor Mike Winfree on December 29, 2022

I have heard a number of people say that this year’s Live Nativity was the best yet. I think so too. Thanks to all who helped make it a success. A special thanks goes out to Mary and James Crook for their endless efforts. They always give it everything they’ve got. May God send us 100 more like you.

I hope each one of you had a Merry Christmas. The third coldest on record they say. Many had to deal with busted pipes. We had one at the church that had to be fixed. Thanks to all who helped clean up the water. We are back up and running again.

Another year is almost behind us. Every year things change, some good and some bad. We never know what life is going to bring us. As Christians, we can trust our Lord in each circumstance. He is so good to us. Pause to give Him thanks. We can reflect on the past but don’t dwell there. Look out into the future by faith and believe God for the new things He will allow to come our way.

Many of you read the Bible through this year, and you are to be commended. For some of you it was your first time, great job! Let’s all encourage one another in reading it through. You will be better for it. Remember to ask two questions: 1) What did it say?  2) How can I apply it to my life?

January 8, I will be bringing my State of the Church message with our 2023 theme and plans for the year. Invite a friend to come with you.

Serving the Savior,

Pastor Mike
