Psalm 40
by Pastor Mike on August 29, 2022I was reading Psalm 40 this morning and was blessed by it. Here are a few verses. May they bless you as they did me.
Psalm 40:1-3, “I waited patiently for the Lord; and He inclined to me, and heard my cry. He also brought me up out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my steps. He has put a new song in my mouth, Praise to our (my) God; Many will see it and fear, and will trust in the Lord.”
We serve a risen Savior. He is in the world today. He hears and He works for our good. He gives our feet a firm foundation to stand upon. When we take the time to meditate on all He has done for us, how can we not pause and praise Him, sing a new song unto Him.
We were thinking that because interest rates are going up that our loan rate on our building would be going up. However, we received the new contract and there was no change in our rate, it stayed at 4.5%. The payment went down which means more will go to the principle. I’m still believing we will have it paid off by the end of 2024, our 100th Anniversary. Thanks to all who have been faithful to give. Let’s see it through.
We are entering one of our busiest seasons. You know what that means, all hands on deck. Let’s be faithful to attend church and invite people to come with you. Let’s be faithful to serve where needed.
Just a word about our Community Groups. It took some time after Covid to see our CG’s pick back up. We have been increasing in number for a while now. People are loving what is being taught. Teachers, keep up the good work. I would love to see us back over 100 again. We are close. If you haven’t been in a while, come back and be a part of what God is doing.
Serving the Savior,
Pastor Mike
