The Challenge

by Pastor Mike Winfree on January 30, 2023

Dear Church,

February first, I will have been saved 46 years. I thank my Lord for saving my soul. He has certainly been good to my family and me. I have found Him to be absolutely faithful. I am thankful for the conviction He brought to my life years ago about being in the Word of God. It has made all the difference in my life. That is why I encourage you to read it, because I know what it can do and will do. More and more of you have taken the challenge to read through the Bible in a year. God will bless you for it. People are talking about what God has shown them for the first time. That is God turning the light on for you so you can see. This past weekend there was more talk about things in the Bible than any other time in my 46 years of being saved. Now folks that is what church is to be about. You have thrilled this preachers heart. Keep it up. Iron sharpens iron.

February 5th will be “Soup and Sandwich Sunday”. Let’s make it a big day. Invite someone to come with you. Make your favorite soup and/or your favorite sandwich’s and let’s have a good time fellowshipping around the word and table.

There is another event I am excited about and that is the trip this fall to the Creation Museum and The Ark. I wanted to see families go on this trip, I believe it will open your eyes to truth, especially the kids. It truly is an experience you will never forget. You will never have another chance at this price. Thanks to Pete for setting this up.

Finally, the playground. The church voted to purchase and to put the playground out in the field. God laid it on someone’s heart to give a check for the playset itself. We still need the money for the prep work and rubber mulch. All donations can be made to the property fund.

Serving the Savior,

Pastor Mike
