There are no guarantees in life

by Pastor Mike Winfree on November 29, 2021

Dear Church,

Recently while being sick, I realized how much we take for granted. One day you are feeling fine and the next day you wake up feeling crummy. It interrupts your daily routine. There are no guarantees in life. One thing I knew was certain, God was right there with me. He said He would never leave me or forsake me. Now, it doesn’t get any better than that. As believers, we are so blessed.

In a few days, we once again have the privilege of putting on a drama of the birth of Jesus Christ. I pray the Lord will touch hearts through it. May people find a deeper purpose for Christmas this year. Let’s give it our very best, asking God to use it for His glory.

As I look back over 2021 it’s easy to see that God blessed us as a church. We are seeing our numbers come back up. For that  I am thankful. On January 9, I will give my annual state of the church message. We will review the past year and I will challenge us in the new year. There is still much to do together.

You know I am always encouraging you to be in God’s Word. I would love to see more people take the challenge to read through the Bible in a year. It really isn’t that hard and the benefit certainly outweighs the  effort. It is the food for the soul.

Serving the Savior,

Pastor Mike
